How to switch in three steps
- Text PAC to 65075 from the phone you want to move. It's free, and your current provider texts back your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) straight away.
- Choose your POP Mobile plan, pick "Keep my number" and enter the PAC and your number at checkout.
- We do the rest. Your number usually moves across on the next working day. Your old provider closes your account with them automatically.
Good to know
- A PAC lasts 30 days.
- If you are in a contract with your current provider, they may charge you for leaving early. Check with them first.
- Don't want to keep your number? Text STAC to 75075 to cancel your old plan instead.
Questions and answers
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone to get your Porting Authorisation Code, then enter it when you order. We move your number across, usually by the next working day, and your old service works until then.
How do I switch to POP Mobile?
Choose a plan and order online. To keep your number, text PAC to 65075 and enter the code at checkout. Your old provider's service keeps working until the switch completes, then their account closes automatically.
Will I be without a phone while I switch?
No. Your old SIM keeps working until your number moves. On the switch day there may be a short period of up to a few hours when calls and texts move across. Then you are on POP Mobile.
How long does a PAC last?
A PAC is valid for 30 days. If it expires before you use it, just text PAC to 65075 again for a new one.
